Diversity Presentation from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Attendees will receive 3 hours of CE credit at the end of the presentation
Attendees will have the option to purchase a ticket with lunch afterwards OR a presentation only ticket.
Ethics Presentation from 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Walk-ins are welcome; however, lunch will not be available for on-site registrants.

Navigating Identity, Culture, and Eating: The Role of Acculturation in Disordered Eating.
This presentation explores the complex intersection of cultural identity, acculturation, and the development of eating disorders. We will examine how navigating between cultural values can impact body image, food behaviors, and help-seeking patterns, particularly among individuals from marginalized backgrounds.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Sehrish Ali is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC-S, and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) with extensive experience treating eating disorders through a culturally responsive lens. She is the founder of Guided Growth Therapy, a practice dedicated to supporting individuals navigating identity, body image, and food-related challenges.
